I've been in a particularly difficult to climb out of hole lately. In the past few months we've suffered through flood (that luckily didn't get in the house but it has made some of our paddocks downright dangerous to use due to the ground just not getting time to dry out due to repeated small floods and constant rain) money woes (as everyone goes through) particularly nasty plus that have affected both myself, family and some of my horses. We've had our ups and downs to say the least but we're gradually digging ourselves out of the damned hole. However motivations for art and personal goals right now aren't easy. I'm tired all the time and my knee is killing me of late. My left knee has always had a past history of the patella or cap or something sliding to one side every once in a while either randomly or when particular pressure or a slip/ knock causes it to slide and i will either go down or have to lean on something until it pops back in. Usually its instantaneous that it will pop back into place but on very rare occasions i will need to shift sidewards to help it along. I've had it for years but lately it has been seizing up, aching and feeling heavy. worse if i tuck it under me whilst sitting. I think i just need more exercise to strengthen it seeing as whenever i ride horses it doesn't ache for a while but that is hard to do when you have no riding horse at the moment and the only place you can ride costs you money and is a few hours away. Anywho.
Lack of arts is due to no motivation or more specifically you can blame a particular wolf character of mine that i repeatedly draw but don't bother to upload here which i really should. But to make up for the lack of art i will be putting up some photos of my horses.
On a lighter note in the next week or so i will be getting two new additions to my family. One is a silky x powderpuff mink and white male rat. He's quite the oddball with her patterning but i love it all the same, it's character not being reformed to the standard hood patterning. The other will hopefully be a white pink eyed (not albino it's a few dilutions off. Pink or rose eyed white i believe they are called) double rex male. I'm so excited to get them and impatient for the two weeks to be up as the drex babes aren't ready to leave until then and that is the only reason for the wait. I will admitt my cage is appropriate for them now but a bit small as they get bigger (since they will be very big boys from what i have seen from the breeders males) but they will be getting an upgrade to the largest appropriate rat housing as i'm hoping to have alice sold this coming month.
We will also be a registered stud in late september and hopefully in the next few years we will be bringing in much needed new linage and working on producing dilutes, particularly the rare champagne horses.
