Again i didn't know what category to put it in so bleh. I blame for making me do these .... or at least making me get the urge to do these again XD J/k ... i had to use it!.
Mwhaha Gin is big and boney but he's hugable and now you know something he didn't want you to know.
Gin "now you know my shame" Gin is as you can see 12 feet tall and 14 feet long. On of the largest harvester around. He loves glow sticks but is scared of cats (the reason as to why i will explain with the rest of the info below)
Harvester hounds reach a maximum hight of 13 feet and 17 feet long however thats only in extream cases. Most harvesters will only reach ten feet and 12 feet long if they are lucky. Since Harvester hounds are bio-enginered in a society wich would like to remain nameless. They are only released once they reach four feet in hight and six feet in length as well as having to mature to an average year of three hundred years (this sounds like a long time but where they come from 3 centurys is simply three weeks in our time) That is when their mental state is mature enough to undersand and heed commands given to them. Any younger and it would be like telling a two year old to get up and do the river dance, balance a spinning plate on a stick upon their nose and conduct an orchestra whilst also playing the piano.
They are just naturely boney even though they will eat just about anything and everything dead or alive if they get the chance. Their bones are actually quiet springy and give them movement beyond belief, they can tie themself in a knot if they wanted too. The bones are actually rather strong and can take quiet a beating before they break and even when broken it doesn't take more than a day if that to mend.
As you can see their lungs are the largest organ in the Harvesters body. Depending on the size of the harvester once fully grown can be up to four feet. The lungs as i have shown and explained already can hld up to a thousand soul each thanks to the cells inside that house the souls safely and keep them fresh untill they finally get back to the society and each soul is regurgitated back up to await their judgement.
Each hound suprisingly has a mentle list of who they have to wait to die for just like the fabled grim reaper himself if you think about it. it's not a wonder they are nick named soul reapers or reaper hounds. Only problem is harvesters don't always follow the rules and if they become impaitent will kill those they think are taking to long to kick the bucket.
They are mostly hidden to all the reason is they have no shadow, no scent and they rarely leave foot prints because of the way they walk all their weight is thrust into the middle and neck. That is why they have a inwards slope when they stand. After all most of the weight comes from those huge lungs.
If they want someone to die they will reveal themselves if they are show ponys that is. If seen by someone due to die that person will suffer a fatal heart attack.
If the hound is shy then they will once the victom is asleep, shove their tounges down their throat and let that tounge expand whilest using their lips in a fatal kiss that cover the mouth and nose. Usually the lower jaw is all that is used since they will cover the humans entire face with it. All the while using one hand to hold the victom down. All in all the end result is suffocation that looks as if the victom has simply died a peacefull death in their sleep since the body is aranged to look like they had died in their sleep. No Saliva traces would be found even if the hound drooled all over them.
The piercings about their body tell their age. Small golden loops (mostly found in the ears and elbows, tail and hind legs) are five years of age. Each small silver stud is ten years. Each large silver ring is 50 years old. The large golden rings are 100 years, those tings are never removed and so an enchantment is place on them so with each passing century what would have been a medium golden ring to hold them on the rack would thicken. Once three had thickend they are released, the thick ones tend to be one in the tail, the one in the nose and the one in the second one behind the head where the least ammount of pressure is put on them whilest growing on the rack.
Ears are like a humans mouth. ears on a hound express their moods. Pricked up and forwards they are currious or simply content and happy. Laying flat and horn like they are not impressed or angry. if one ear is up and swiveling whilst the other is low then the hound is uncertain about something. If the ears are both droopy and hanging at either side of their head they are depressed or sad.
Just like ears a Harvesters body language and teeth are also indecations of their mood. A hound would rather not risk a fight with it's own kind if it can help it. However if bluffing doesn't scare a smaller hound off then it will fight and kill. A harvester is not scared to fight it just simply prefers not to waste energy where a simple baring of teeth says all that needs to be said.
Harvesters are capable of human speech, however whilst in their beastly form they speak with a deep growling accent that makes it extreamly hard to understand. The hounds have a gift, they can take the shape of a human but only a handfull are intrested in doing so. Ones that take human forms such as Gin it shows they have an extream intrest in the human kind. If they become human their saliva and blood becomes less potent, the saliva is unable to cause damage or illness where the blood still can cause harm.
Harvesters can mate but due to being nothing more than a creation they are sterile and will never produce offspring.
Harvesters come in an assortment of colors, any color you can think of or more to the point to the creators imagenation. Most colors however are shades of scarlet, navy blue, mottled green (mottled green is where although darkgreen they will have mottling spots of orange, black dep red and navy) Other colors, rarer colors are deep purple, passion fruit (black and yellow) Royal blue and hazel (like the eye color, greeny brown) The rarest almost non-existant colors are albinos, cream, fluresent greens, yellows or bright blues and two toned colors.
Markings are not overly common by they do have them, mostly they are spots like the mottled greens. Or stripes, tiger like stripes or zebra stripes if not a simple stretched triangle (Like zeleos's markings)
The eyes of a reaper are prodominantly red as is the coloration around the iris. The iris itself is almost as invisible as the small black slitted pupil. However other colorations are most shades of blues and greens. Rarer shades are black with a tiney white or yellow pupil, violet of lilac. The rarest color is white, white eyes pupils are none existant. All eyes whites will always have the same coloring as the iris.
Once a harvester is created the first rings (the enchanted rings) are placed so that they are beneath the spine even if it doesn't really look like it. From those rings they are hooked onto what is know as a rack, it's actually like a giant coat hanger. They are fed once a week on a high protien soup that if fed to them by a machine that shoves a tube down their throats directly into their stomachs that function only on instinct. A hound can only go by instinct, really they are no more than a coma patient in a hospital.
Each year is recorded for hundreds hundreds of reapers still on the rack. Every five to ten years they gain new piercings.
Only when released do they gain their full motor skills. The first thing they do is drop to the floor where a soup made from the dead of their own kind (those that didn't live long enough to be hung up on racks) rests in troughs. It's just like yolk really. After they have eaten they are collected and put through obediance training.
One thing the hounds are unnerved even sometimes fear are cats. If you have a cat in the house you are relitively safe unless the hound is utterly desperate. It has something to do with a cats eyes, cats are the only animals in the human world that can see them and mezmerise them. Also it has something to do with their training. A giant cat that just sits and watches and if they go to bite their trainers or worse it steps in and reprimands them.
One weakness of theirs is glowsticks, they love them. They will chew on the sticks and swallow whats in them for some reason or just play with them like a kitten with a ball of yarn. They also love being decorated with them. Gin in paticuler will sit and let you hand them from his ears and teeth and what not.
One way to stop a reaper is to show it a cat, even a picture will upset it and make it nervous to approch. if it does get close enough to touch quickly grab one of the large rings in its neck or back and yank upwards, this parilizes them. ==========================================
That should do the info. Anymore and my brain will explode. I know it's in no paticuler order but i was racking my brains for info about them and it's late so bleh.
If your intrested in making a harvester hound note me first or suprise me and note me a link to it. If you do make one give credit where it's due. It doesn't take more than a second to type 'Harvester hounds a (c) to :icon blueicedragonau: '
Thanks. Their just crappys sketchs though lol. I'm thinking of getting mini color chart thing up ... like adoptables or something .... that is if i can get my lazy butt to draw that many minis @_@
